PUMA against COVID-19 : Pledge PPE kits for our healthcare workers

“When healthcare workers are at risk, we’re all at risk”, said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO, while talking about the global shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits. PPE kits are most important in preventing the transmission of the Coronavirus to our healthcare workers.

India needs more than 2 crores PPE kits and with the number of active cases doubling every other day, the shortage is only going to increase. Each PPE Kit is meant for one-time use and healthcare workers need at least 2-3 per day. Many governments and private hospitals in high-intensity states are running out of supply.

Not only are our healthcare workers without a regular supply of PPE kits they are even reusing masks and rationing the usage of hand sanitisers.

To keep our bravehearts safe, PUMA has launched this campaign to donate PPE kits that are SITRA certified and approved by doctor post reviewing multiple samples. Each kit costs INR 950. The funds will be used by our trusted vendor to procure kits and the kits will then be donated to hospitals.
